For the Actor and those aspiring to be actors...

The 2b Acting App is tailored for the working actor as well as the student and those just starting out in their career.

The 2b Acting App is developed by the makers of the Internet Soap Drama Today and Tomorrow and uses the power of the iPhone and iPad devices to help actors in key areas such as: – rehearsals, performing, out of work exercises and advice, auditions, training and finding work.

The 2b Acting App provides access to a developing library of ‘In App’ modules and comes preloaded with the ‘Exercise’ information App – A useful guide to the exercises that can help improve acting performance and the ‘Find Work’ information app providing guidance on the key steps needed to help an actor find work in the industry.

Also included:

The ‘Diction1’ exercise app. The Diction1 exercise can be considered as the Actor’s equivalent to a musician’s scales. In this exercise you listen to how professional actors go through the consonants using the vowels: ah, ay, ee, ay, ah, aw, oo, aw plus some tricky tongue twisters and then repeat what you’ve heard out loud so that it can be recorded. You can then play back your recording. Repeat until your words sound like the actors before moving on to the next.

The ‘Definition’ information app. Understanding the language used in the industry is useful. It can help with auditions, discussion with agents, understanding contracts and more. This App provides a quick guide to the meaning of some of the most common words used in the industry.

The other apps available for in-App purchase includes:

‘SightReading1’ exercise app. Sight reading is something an actor often has to do and good sight reading comes with practice. It is useful for auditions, rehearsals and for working in areas such as radio, presenting, etc. Sight-reading exercises should be done as many times as possible until it feels like talking and not reading. Until you make no mistakes in either diction or meaning.

‘Concentration1’ exercise app. This app exercise tests your ability to concentrate by performing a task at the same time as you listen to a monologue. There are several monologues to challenge you. Your ability to stay focus and not be distracted which is an essential component for good acting.

‘VoiceLevel1’ exercise app. This exercise app is designed to help in improving your voice level. Voice level practice will enable you to speak loudly without strain. You read a sentence and then try and to keep the volume level indicator in the yellow or red range for as long as possible. You should also aim to do the exercise without shouting.

‘ResumeWriter’ – Find Work App. - The ‘ResumeWriter’ guides you through the key points so you can quickly produce a professional actors’ Resume (CV). The completed Resume (CV) is automatically saved and can be updated at any time so that you always have the latest copy to hand ready to be emailed at the click of a button.
